On the 26th of October was the GTG’s first big Reccie down south. Members for the reccie were: VKPrado, CFRyback, Palmer120 and Jennings. There were family members out on the trip as well. Not to mention twin “forbies” that moved from one Prado to the other!
Weather wasn’t too cooperative, with rain and lite drizzle was the order for the day.
We met up in Oatlands and proceeded to check out the route from Oatlands to “M” Road. Visit planned camping ground at Little Swanport and then do the Swanston Track behind the millitary range to confirm this as part of the “southern loop”.
Aside from me (cfryback) getting a rock puncture, was a good day out. An experience for all involved, and some lessons learned along the way.
After the Swanston Track/Road – we split up. With VKPrado, Palmer120 and Jennings heading back to Oatlands. I chose the route from there down to Buckland.
